Craneway Pavilion event to offer ideal venue to honor veterans
On Friday, Nov. 10, the Craneway Pavilion will be an all-encompassing site where Richmond area residents will have an opportunity to honor those who served our country and risked their lives for our freedom.
The Craneway at 1414 Harbour Way S. is set to hold a free and entertaining Salute to Veteran’s Day event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will be held the day before Veterans Day, which is Saturday, Nov. 11.
Enjoy a buffet while listening to compelling narratives about Richmond’s rich history of supporting national war efforts. You’ll also have an opportunity to thank veterans and active military members in person. Among them will be Richmond Mayor Tom Butt, a Vietnam War veteran.
There will also be historic exhibits, a Veterans Expo providing resources to veterans, as well as education on how local and regional organizations are working to support veterans, including in workforce development after military service.
The event is sponsored by Chevron Richmond and the City of Richmond.
