Martha Zamora is a jack of all trades and qualified to be by your side during both the best and worst of times — we’re not just talking about tax season, but also for your marriage and, if necessary, divorce.
She started her business, Zamora’s Agency at 12877 San Pablo Ave., solely as an Insurance Agency in 2008, but then branched out to other services to meet community needs.
“I’m a minister, so I am an officiant for civil marriages,” Zamora said. “I also do all the processes for divorces…including child and spousal support.”
But her portfolio of offerings runs far deeper. Her business is also a notary. It also performs immigration paperwork and consulting, from work permits to cases involving Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
And when tax season is in full swing, Zamora’s shop shifts gears again.
“I prepare all kinds of income taxes,” she said. “That keeps me very busy during the tax season.”
Along with corporate, small business and individuals taxes, Zamora prepares taxes for individuals without social security numbers.
“Before working here, I used to work with foster youth,” she said. “I always like working with the community and helping others. I speak Spanish so I get to work with a large Spanish community.”
And when she’s not working, Zamora said she loves shopping at Richmond-area stores.
