The kids may be back in school, but the summer isn’t over and there’s still dancing to be done in downtown Richmond.
On Wednesday, Aug. 23, the second and final Music on the Main concert of the summer series will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., bringing live music, local food, kids activities and information booths to the parking lot at Marina Way and Macdonald Ave.
Andre Thierry and Caribbean Allstars are set to perform, and attendees can enjoy delicious grub and beverages from a number of local food trucks including Curbside Kitchen, Kim’s Louisiana Fried Turkey & Stuff and Yo Mama’s Old Fashioned Teacakes.
They’ll be able to wash down their dinner with Richmond’s East Brother Beer Co.
The concert is free for all, and all are welcome, according to the Richmond Main Street Initiative, which organizes the event that is 16 years running.
