Man found fatally shot in Iron Triangle Sunday

Two women shot in Richmond Thursday night

A man in his 20s was found fatally shot early Sunday inside a car in Richmond’s Iron Triangle neighborhood, marking the city’s 7th homicide this year, police said.

The victim was identified by the county coroner as Lacy Anderson Jr., 24, of Richmond, according to the East Bay Times.

Officers responded to a Shotspotter activation about 2 a.m. in the area of Elgin Avenue and 5th Street, where they found Anderson inside a car that had crashed into a parked vehicle, Richmond police Lt. Felix Tan said.

Further information about the homicide wasn’t immediately available due to the ongoing investigation, Tan said.
