Richmond’s Youth Leadership Committee (YLC) is seeking high school students looking to become leaders in their community.
The YLC is a year-round program designed by the Richmond Community Services Department for current high school students. The program provides students with a robust array of opportunities, including youth leadership workshops, community projects and fun field trips among other activities.
YLC members are given the opportunity to delve into varying approaches to leadership, exploring their personal strengths and identifying areas for potential, personal growth. Members also learn to foster solutions to pressing challenges that impact the greater Richmond community. The program aims to give future leaders the resources and knowledge necessary to make positive change in their neighborhoods and communities.
The deadline for applying is September 15 and students can apply online (link to: tinyurl.com/RichmondYLC17) or find out more by contacting Guadalupe Morales at email@example.com or (510) 620-6553.
