The Ocotes Grill is the newest dining experience in San Pablo looking to stake its claim as the very finest authentic Mexican food in the area.
Ocotes Grill, owned and operated by the Ledesma family, is located at 1439 23rd St. in San Pablo and just recently opened its doors to customers this June. Raul Ledesma and his family have been members of the community since the 1980’s and have created a successful restaurant that serves only the very best food.
Victor, the restaurant’s master chef, is highly skilled and very focused in every detail of the food’s preparation and cooking. Victor’s amazing precision in preparing and cooking one of their house dishes, Piña Rellena, was quite an exciting sight.
The Piña Rellena dish consists of a shrimp cocktail served in the shell of a pineapple, plus the rice, beans and veggies. The guacamole and chips are a fan favorite as the avocado is fresh and the Piña Rellena is reasonably priced at $18 for a dish that can feed two people.
Raul Ledesma noted one of the reasons for the newfound success of the restaurant was the use of fresh ingredients. That sentiment was seconded by his customers who explained that the ingredients enhanced the food. Many diners guaranteed that they would be returning for another meal.
The Ocotes Grill is open Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. They are closed on Mondays.
