If you’ve yet to discover the Richmond Plunge, there’s no better time to dive in than the present. The handsome and historic structure has been hosting local swimmers since 1926 and remains a vibrant venue today, adorned with tasteful murals and crowned with a old-timey sign reading “Richmond Natatorium.”
The Rich Life dropped by recently to explore the local icon, and say hello to Richmond Aquatics Director Paula Cooper-Tipton—who shared some quick insights with us on the Plunge and its most-popular current water activities.
The Plunge is located at 1 East Richmond Avenue, just before the Point Richmond tunnel that leads to Keller Beach. Please check the official site for hours and activities.
