Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced Wednesday he will host an immigration town hall meeting and resource fair in Richmond on Thursday, June 1.
“A panel of local experts will be on hand to discuss federal immigration policy reform, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and President Trump’s recent executive orders on immigration,” a statement by the congressman’s office said.
Locals at the town hall meeting will be able to listen to presentations from panelists, learn about community resources and ask questions.
Panelists will include a local immigration attorney, and representatives of the Consulate General of México, Richmond Police Department and Catholic Charities of the East Bay.
The event will occur from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Latina Center (Enter Through Barrett Avenue Christian Church) at 3701 Barrett Ave.
