When it comes to the familiar pairing of moms and fantastic flowers, few do it better than Annie’s Annual’s, which hosted a very popular edition of its annual Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday, May 14 at the sprawling Richmond nursery.
Among the lures that drew hundreds of green thumbers and other party-goers—including the Rich Life and plenty of families—were face-painting and (temporary) tattoo fun with Budderball the Clown, Fairy Hair makeovers with the colorful Very Fairy Amanda, and a very well-attended al fresco lecture on Bee-Friendly Gardening with author Kate Frey.
A stilt-walking workshop added another unique element to the mix, and a towering vine-covered stilt-walking lady caught the eyes of kids and adults as she strolled through Annie’s aisles.
