Kenneth Walker, an alum of both Kennedy High and UCLA and star athlete at both schools, was signed late last month as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But don’t worry, the oft-charitable Walker hasn’t forgotten his roots.
On Saturday, June 7, he is set to hold a free football camp for the first 100 local kids ages 6-12 who sign up.
The 1st Annual Kenneth Walker III Youth Football Camp will be held at Kennedy High, 4300 Cutting Blvd. from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

That same night, he is also participating in an Albany Bowl fundraiser, with funds raised going to the Kennedy High football program.
The speedy Walker was picked up by the Jaguars after impressing in his senior season at UCLA with big catches and career-high games. In addition to performing well on the field, he also impressed in the classroom, earning the Maggie Gilbert Academic Achievement Award at the 10th Annual UCLA Scholar-Athlete banquet last year.
