Richmond summit connects youth with local employers, mentors

About 200 students were provided with a unique career resource fair Wednesday afternoon that aimed to connect them with multiple local employers and also to provide training on interviewing, networking and other skills.

Prior to the career fair at Richmond Memorial Auditorium, employers, school district representatives, local nonprofits and community leaders joined together to discuss and develop plans for ensuring local youth are prepared for the jobs of the future.

It’s all part of the 8th Annual Summit on Children and Youth in Richmond, which focuses on building bridges between youth, employers, educators, nonprofits and community leaders in order inspire a bright future for the city’s residents.
