Tickets are now available for the first annual “Taste of Richmond” set for Riggers Loft Winery on Saturday, May 20.
The event will bring a variety of locally made food and drink samples to the waterfront winery at 1325 Canal Blvd.
At the Richmond City Council meeting Tuesday, mouths watered after hearing a list of some of the participating eateries, wineries and breweries taking part in the first Taste of Richmond. Along with the Riggers Loft wineries, the event will feature Kim’s Louisiana Fried Turkey & Stuff, Up & Under Pub and Grill; Cassandra’s Cakes; Salute e Vita Ristorante; Benoit Casper Brewing Company; East Brother Beer Company and more.
“It’s going to be a fantastic event,” said Amanda Elliott, executive director of the Richmond Main Street Initiative and member of the City of Richmond Economic Development Commission. “We expect to grow this event next year. We believe this will really take off.”
The event will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. All samples and tastes are included in the single admission price of $12 or two tickets for $20. Children under 10 are admitted free.
