Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County (GIWCC) — the Richmond-based nonprofit that has inspired girls to succeed through workshops and after-school programming for about four decades — is set to hold a community forum Wednesday in order to reveal the results of its strategic planning process and to share its vision.

The forum, called Implementing Our Vision for a Future Generation for girls and young women, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Craneway Pavilion at 1414 Harbour Way South, with registration and breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Open to the public, the forum will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the priority areas and objectives of Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County and explore partnerships to achieve solutions. It will include an overview of Girls Inc.’s strategic action plan, a panel discussion with GIWCC alumnae, and a call to action to develop partnerships.

“We invite you or a representative from your organization to join the conversation as community stakeholders to partner on action steps to implement our vision for a future generation of girls in West Contra Costa County,” the nonprofit said.
