A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting in El Sobrante Monday afternoon that injured two people, authorities said.

Jason Ellis, of El Sobrante, was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of two counts of assault with a firearm.

The shooting, which injured men ages 37 and 19, occurred just before 1 p.m. in the 600 block of El Centro Road, near Rolling Hills Memorial Park, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s office.

Both victims are reported to be in stable condition. Ellis is being held on $100,000 bond.

Neighbors told news reporters that the shooting came from a problem house in the neighborhood.
