San Pablo officials are encouraging city residents to take advantage of Dumpster Day on Oct 8, where they can get rid of old items that have been sitting around for free.

The city’s Public Works Department is hosting the event from 7 a.m. to noon at El Portal School, 2600 Moraga Road.

“We will accept everything with the exception of tires, electronic devices, batteries and all hazardous materials (paint, oil, pesticides or any liquids),” city officials said. “You will need to bring proof of San Pablo residency (a copy of your PG&E or EBMUD statement with your address and a photo ID). Please call (510)215-3079 for more information.”
