Here’s how to give someone the finger in a helpful way.

The West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) is hosting four free “fingerprinting parties” for prospective volunteers in the coming weekends.

The events are a easy way to ensure volunteers can be properly vetted prior to working alongside students and teachers. All parents, legal guardians and community members wishing to volunteer at a WCCUSD school must complete the volunteer process.

However, if you currently have a WCCUSD Volunteer badge, you do not need to re-apply.

“This is a ‘drop-in’ and no appointment is needed,” district officials said.

The online application must be completed BEFORE the date of the parties. The application can be found here. Those without Internet access can have the application mailed to you by calling (510) 342-7176.

See below for dates, times and locations of the fingerprinting parties.
