This is what Richmond sounds like.
Faith groups and local nonprofit For Richmond held a celebration on Sunday for Salute e Vita Ristorante‘s charitable owner, Menbe Aklilu, and one of the highlight’s was a gorgeous performance by a church choir.
For Richmond, which helped organize the event, captured the performance on video and posted it to Facebook. The interfaith choir includes singers from multiple churches, including St. Columba, St. Matthews and the Church by the Side of the Road.
Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Easter Hill United Methodist Church and St. Mark Parish (San Marco) were also reported to have taken part in the tribute to Aklilu, who is known for using her popular restaurant as a launching pad for good community deeds.
