Local students encouraged to apply for community impact grants

Some WCCUSD parents to get 'extra credit' for graduating from Parent University program

The Tutor Corps Foundation is encouraging local students to apply for grants to carry out projects that have a sustainable impact in their community.

The Community Service Grants support innovative student community service projects with grants ranging from $250 to $ 750. Students from grades 6 through 11 can apply. Projects may address issues such as poverty, education, health or the environment.

Tutor Corps Foundation was established by Tutor Corps, an educational services company that provides personalized, one-on-one tutoring for students. The Foundation tutors under-resourced students, offers community service scholarships and provides educational expertise to nonprofits, according to the organization.
