Rigger’s Loft Wine Company has announced its first annual “Harvest Pig Roast” set for Oct. 8.

The live pig roast, a celebration of harvest, wine, cider and friends, will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the waterfront winery at 1325 Canal Blvd.

For the price of $45 if purchased by Sept. 30, the event includes roasted pig in addition to baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, cornbread, dessert, live music, premium wines and local hard cider. Tickets purchased after Sept. 30 are $60. A $5 discount is offered for all designated drivers and anyone under age 21.  All children under 5 receive free admission.

Patrons will enjoy wines from four different Riggers Loft wineries, including R&B Cellars, Carica Wines, Irish Monkey Cellars, and Far West Cider Company.
