Richmond workshop on Tuesday to connect locals with state job openings


RichmondWORKS, the city’s employment and training department, is partnering with the the California Department of General Services in an effort to connect local residents with “hundreds of job openings.”

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, the city agency is holding a “How to get a state job” workshop at its offices at 330 25th St. in Richmond.

“There are currently hundreds of job openings throughout the state, many of which do not require a college degree,” according to City Manager Bill Lindsay’s weekly newsletter. “Richmond residents are encouraged to contact the RichmondWORKS office to reserve a seat for the workshop. Space is limited.”
