As part of a national program that aims to save lives, Richmond Swims is offering low-cost adult swim lessons at the Richmond Plunge starting next month.
The “Swimming Saves Lives” program starts Sept. 6 with sessions that run twice weekly for three weeks for a total of six lessons. The cost is just $15 total, and free for Richmond city employees, and includes a swim cap.
The lessons are small group, maximum of 6 students per instructor.
The program, in its third year, is funded by a grant from the US Masters Swimming Saves Lives Foundation.
