Delhi Fashions at 13112 San Pablo Ave. has been a staple in West County for nearly nine years, partly because it offers Indian groceries, a restaurant with a buffet and even a beauty parlor.

Owner Andrew Alex says the store pretty much has it all when it comes to Indian goods and services.

“It’s pretty much a three-in-one shop,” Alex said. “So we have your full parlor where there’s waxing, threading, eyebrows, facials, manicures, pedicures on one sections. And then we also carry Indian groceries, spices, frozen goods like frozen samosas, Indian pastries and all that. And on the third side, we have the restaurant.”

Alex says he’s lived half of his life in Richmond and sees the city transitioning into the kind of hustle and bustle urban environment you would see in San Francisco.

“There’s a sense of community,” he said. “It’s kind of a different world in itself. It’s an up-and-coming city. It’s growing fast.”

And the growth will hopefully be good for his business, which is known for offering service with kindness and a smile. We encourage our readers to stop by and visit.
