Republic Services is reaching out to the media to spread the word about its relatively new food scraps composting program to residents of Richmond and neighboring jurisdictions.
The company, which operates locally as Richmond Sanitary Services, has asked the Richmond Standard to post this statement and flyer in order to spread the word about this program:
“Food Scraps recycling is a relatively new program that supports the city’s waste diversion goals by turning leftover food into nutrient-rich compost and other valuable soil amendment products. Food scraps collection is provided on a weekly basis by Republic Services.”
