Renaissance Center workshops teach tech tips


The Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center in Richmond, 1500 Macdonald Ave., is hosting a pair of workshops aimed at self-starters hoping to build an online store or website. At just $25 a session, the programs target aspiring entrepreneurs and small-business owners.

On Wed., July 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., “Weebly: The Easiest Way to Make a Website” will demonstrate ways to get a website up and running. Attendees are asked to bring their own computer to optimize the experience. The session covers everything from choosing the best domain name to site design and building an online presence.

On Tues., July 26, from 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., “Sell Online with Shopify: The Easiest Way to Build an Online Store” will provide simple steps for launching an e-commerce site and devising ways to sell products online.
