A school district program that aims to ensure no child goes hungry during the summer break starts today and runs through Aug. 17.

The West Contra Costa Unified School District’s Summer Food Service Program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will offer breakfast lunches or snacks at certain locations throughout West County.
