A 28-year-old Vallejo man was arrested in his home city on Tuesday in connection with a shooting that injured a man in El Cerrito earlier the same day, police said.

The suspect, who hasn’t been identified, allegedly shot the victim multiple times on Dylans Way about 2:25 a.m. (mapped below).


The victim was transported to a trauma center, where he is reported in stable condition, police said.

The suspect was arrested by members of the ECPD, the Vallejo Police Department and agents from the Contra Costa and Solano Counties FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and is bail is set at $1 million.
