A San Pablo man was arrested on charges that he allegedly threatened a woman, slashed her car tire and fired off gunshots during an argument in Pinole Monday night, police said.

Adam Jenson was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, felony threats and shooting in a negligent manner in connection with the incident, which was reported at about 9:40 p.m.

An argument between Jenson and the woman began over the phone and led to Jenson showing up at her location in the 1200 block of McDonald Drive, where she was standing outside her car. He slashed her tire and when she inspected the damage, he fired off three rounds from a 9mm handgun, police said. The victim was not injured in the shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, Jenson had fled in a black 1998 Toyota Tacoma, which was soon after found on San Pablo Avenue near Richmond Parkway. Jenson was arrested.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact Pinole police at (510) 724-8950.
