A proactive 7th and 8th grades history teacher at Manzanita Public Charter Middle School in Richmond has launched a fundraiser in order to take her students on field trips next school year.

“Some trips include a visit to the State Capitol, Alcatraz Island, Rosie the Riveter Museum, a WWII ship, and a camping trip,” said Haley Noelle, who created the gofundme.com account.  “Some of the trips are free, some just need funding for transportation, and others cost money but are so worth it! Please help our Richmond youth experience these wonderful trips so that they may view History in a new light!”

The goal is to raise $2,500 for the field trips.
