If you haven’t seen it, don’t miss KTVU-Ch. 2’s adorable report about a Richmond couple married for 68 years this summer.

Mario Feusier, 95, met the love of his life, Jessica, at a Honduras hotel. He was staying there with his professional baseball team, while she was staying with her family. Their eyes connected from across a crowded room, a true love-at-first-sight story.

They eventually married, lived in Kansas for a time, then moved to the Bay Area, where they stayed in Albany for 20 years. They have been in Richmond for the last 40 years. They have a large happy family.

How have they stayed married for so long?

“Every morning when they wake, and every chance they get,” they connect their foreheads and tell each other “I love you.” They also dance whenever they’ve got a moment.

Just as importantly, they strive to understand each other’s points of view and respect each other’s opinions.
