Local youth are encouraged to sign up for a United States Tennis Association (USTA) Play Day at the Richmond Plunge complex on June 11.

The tennis Play Days are designed to introduce kids to competition in a low-pressure environment where results aren’t tallied, according to USTA.

The June 11 Play Day begins at 9 a.m. and invites kids in age groups that include 5-and-under, 6-through-10 and 11-and-over from all skill levels. Participating youth will receive a gift bag with “crazy good stuff” on Play Day, organizers said.

It’s also going to be fun.
