The Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center in Richmond aims to keep local retailers such as barber’s shops and nail salons open and thriving through The Business of Retail, a low-cost training session.

The 11-week course, which meets Mondays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., begins in June and costs between $120 and $240 (scholarships available upon request).

The Business Retail course will help local retailers launch or grow their business  by teaching the fundamentals of marketing, operations, and finance through tools and templates. The class will help businesses build basic business plans and teach management of a retail shop space.

Anyone with questions on this course is encouraged to call Program Manager Bret Sweet, 510-221-2002.
