A 71-year-old Richmond woman was fatally struck by an Amtrak train Monday afternoon in North Richmond, authorities said.

Cloiridell Jackson was struck about 4:45 p.m.

A resident told us she was hit near the Pick-N-Pull on Market Avenue. The Contra Costa County coroner’s office identified her Tuesday morning.

The East Bay Times reported Monday night that the train that struck Jackson had been carrying 142 passengers, none of whom reported injuries.
