A 26-year-old man was fatally shot in North Richmond early Sunday.

The fatal shooting occurred about 1:45 a.m. in the area of Market Avenue and Fred Jackson Way in North Richmond, according to the Contra Costa Office of the Sheriff.

Sheriff’s deputies learned the shooting victim was brought to Kaiser Medical Center in Richmond, where he died. The sheriff’s office were withholding his identification.
