More than 200 West Contra Costa Unified students will publicly announce the colleges they plan to attend at Richmond High on Thursday, the district announced.

The event takes place Thursday at 6 p.m. and is meant to celebrate the academic achievements of high school seniors and inspire younger students to similarly aspire to attend college.

The event is similar to the signing days events for high school athletes announcing their college choice. Richmond High is located at 1250 23rd St.
