Richmond residents have an opportunity to ask city police officers questions or voice concerns in two separate events involving coffee and ice cream on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, a Chill with a Cop event will take place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kaleidoscope Coffee, 109 Park Place in Point Richmond. The event, which is hosted by the Point Richmond Business Association, will include samples of treats while supplies last.

Then on Saturday, residents are invited to attend a Coffee with a Cop event at Bayview Mart, 1025 S. 47th St. from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. That event is sponsored by the City of Richmond Crime Prevention Executive Board.

“No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood,” officials said.
