BART published a video Monday showing a glimpse into what happens at its Richmond Maintenance Yard overnight.

“While most of the Bay Area sleeps during the overnight hours our trackways, yards, shops and towers are buzzing with employees preparing for the next commute and keeping our equipment in safe working order,” the transit agency said in describing the video.

BART says the video exhibits an impressive cadence of activity as workers prepare trains before dawn.

“This effort is a rhythmic orchestration of men and women, train cars, and the conductor that oversees it all from a tower,” the transit agency’s statement said.

The video is a follow-up to its feature on overnight track work.
