The body of a missing 47-year-old East Richmond Heights woman was discovered in a shallow grave outside an El Sobrante home on Tuesday, and two men — an El Sobrante resident who is in custody, and a Richmond resident (pictured) who remains on the loose — have been connected to her murder.

Kimberly Hoglund was last seen on March 28 and was reported missing by her family on April 12, according to the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff.

On Wednesday, April 13, sheriff’s deputies began investigating after foul play was suspected. Detectives served a search warrant on an East Richmond Heights home where they discovered a possible crime scene, but not Hoglund.

Hoglund wasn’t found until Tuesday, when detectives and crime lab personnel searched a home on Appian Way, where they discovered her body in a shallow grave, deputies said.

Authorities haven’t said what led them to the Appian Way home. However, several days before discovering her body they arrested Dylan Reese, 37, an El Sobrante resident, on homicide and assault with a deadly weapon charges. He remains in custody, with his bail set at $1.3 million.

A Richmond man who remains outstanding has also been charged with homicide. He is 43-year-old Andre Villedrouin.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Villedrouin is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff at (925) 646-2441. The Investigations Division can be reached at (925) 313-2600. For any tips, please email: tips@so.cccounty.us or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.
