The victim of a homicide in Bay Point last week has been identified as a Richmond resident, according to the East Bay Times.

David Mallard, 28, was found unresponsive about 9:20 p.m. Thursday in the area of Driftwood Drive and Port Chicago Highway in Bay Point, according to the Times and the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff.

Despite deputies performing CPR, Mallard, who had apparently suffered a gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been announced in the case.
