Pedro Naranjo Jr., 26, a Tracy resident and graduate of Kennedy High School in Richmond, was killed in a motorcycle crash in the unincorporated community of Sky Londa in San Mateo County on Saturday, according to Bay City News.

The Tracy resident was riding a 2016 BMW motorcycle on Skyline Boulevard west of state Highway 35 about 1:20 p.m. when he lost control on a curve, California Highway Patrol said. Naranjo and his bike fell and slid into oncoming traffic, where he was fatally struck by an oncoming Kia.

The Kia’s driver suffered minor injuries, while two passengers were not injured, CHP officials said.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have been factors in the crash, CHP added.

As evidenced on social media, Naranjo is a motorcycle enthusiast who was loved by many. Mourning family and friends expressed their grief on Facebook, with several writing “Ride in Paradise.”

“I can’t believe this. You truly were an angel here on this earth,” one friend wrote.

Naranjo was described as kindhearted and as someone who went out of his way to help others. He was also described as a talented soccer player by former teammates. Folks who knew him from multiple communities are devastated and shocked at a life lost too soon.
