The Shores in Richmond’s Marina Bay has announced the sale of its 150th condominium.

The condos at 1 Shoreline Ct., going for as low as $260,000, have been selling at a rate of five per week, a spokesperson for The Shores said. More units are available.

As we’ve reported in the past, the one-to-two bedroom units range from approximately 500 to 1,000 square feet and have access to water views and trails. The development was originally built in the 1980s and were at one point used as rental apartments. But it recently underwent a $20 million modernization and transitioned back to condos, with upgrades to the interior of the units and landscaping.

Buyers of the 150th condo were El Cerrito residents who wanted to own their home while remaining close to their jobs, according to The Shores.

“With the crazy Bay Area housing market, we didn’t actually think that we’d be able to find a home that we would love and could afford,” said one of the buyers, identified as Melissa.

Melissa touted her family’s access to an easy commute, facilities such as the pools and gym, access to the San Francisco Bay Trail and nearby parks.
