A Good Samaritan who found an engraved ring last month at Lucretia Edwards Shoreline Park in Richmond is trying to find its owner by using social media.

Rebecca Gorton posted an image of the ring on Instagram along with this message:

“We found this ring in Richmond CA on Feb. 10th 2016. It was on the steps of the Lucretia Edwards Shoreline Park leading into the water. It is engraved with ‘The Evans’ followed by a date. We would love to return it to its owner. I am aware that it possibly was thrown in the bay and washed up on the steps with the tide but I wanted to give it a try. I know if I lost my ring that would be pretty upsetting.”

Anyone with information can reach out to us at or contact Gorton through social media.
