We told you about how grants from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) are adding 72 new bike racks throughout Richmond, including high schools.
On Thursday, we learned the city of San Pablo also received air district grants for bike racks and hopes to install some at local businesses.
The city says it is partnering with the West Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee (WCCTAC) to provide bike racks to interested businesses.
Businesses that want them must contact Danelle Carey at 510-210-5932 or via email email@example.com. Both the bike racks and installation are free.
Funding is limited, however, and so bike racks will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis, the city said.
