Malik Booker, 21, was fatally shot in Richmond Saturday night, police said.

A resident called police at 6:05 p.m. to report that a person was bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound in the 1700 block of Maine Avenue, police said.

Responding officers found Booker, a Richmond resident, suffering from gunshot wounds. They rendered aid until medical personnel arrived. Booker was airlifted to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

No suspect information was available.

Booker is the fourth young man to be killed in Richmond this month. On March 13, 21-year-old Joshmahl Russell was fatally shot in the 400 block of Gertrude Avenue. The night of March 10, William Malik Barnes, 15, was gunned down in the 100 block of West Macdonald Avenue. A week before, 14-year-old Kennedy High student Xavier McClanahan suffered the same fate on the Richmond Greenway.
