Students of Amethod Public Schools (AMPS), which operates charter schools in Richmond and Oakland, will join together on March 31 to conduct a clean-up effort in Marina Bay.

The AMPS Marina Bay Youth Council is set to join with community partners to conduct a day of service in honor of the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez.

Cesar Chavez day is March 31.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Benito Juarez Elementary, an AMPS school located at 1450 Marina Way South in Richmond.

“Student volunteers will focus on cleaning the nearby neighborhoods where we live, learn, and play,” organizers said.

The clean up effort will wrap up around 5 p.m.
