While much-needed rain cancelled a community tree planting event in Richmond last weekend, volunteers will get another chance to help green the city at a rescheduled event March 26, according to Richmond Trees.

We will be planting 30 trees in the Belding-Woods neighborhood,” the community organization said in its newsletter.

Volunteers are asked to gather at 8:30 a.m. in Belding-Garcia Park at the corner of 15th Street and Coalinga Avenue. Bring your favorite shovel if you have one, but the most important items to bring are some sturdy shoes, work gloves and drinking water.
