San Pablo Baseball Association launches online fundraiser, seeks sponsor for 2016 season

The San Pablo Baseball Association is seeking a sponsor for its 2016 season and has launched a gofundme fundraiser aiming to raise $10,000.

All funds raised will provide local inner-city youth from San Pablo, Richmond, El Cerrito, El Sobrante and other surrounding communities a healthy, supervised activity designed to keep them off the streets, the association said.

The league, which has an active board of directors, and dozens of coaches and mentors, serves about 150 youth and is staffed entirely by community volunteers. Thus, all funds go directly toward serving the youth.

“This year we will incorporate an Annual Health and Fitness Program, “Your Health is Your Wealth,” the association stated.
