We have told you in the past about how Oprah Winfrey helped skyrocket Richmond-based Galaxy Desserts to success after putting the company’s croissants on her Favorite Things List.

After Oprah praised the croissants at least three times — in 2002, 2005 and 2010 — and the company went from a relatively small producer of croissants to one that outputs them at the rate of thousands per hour.

But how do they produce so many delicious croissants at once?

On Tuesday, a video was posted to YouTube (above) that provides a short tour of the Galaxy Desserts processing plant at 1100 Marina Way South. Check it out!

Also, the following video shows how the plant produces its Mousse Duos dessert.

  1. Yummy looking. Too bad you can’t purchase these deserts in Richmond. Not much of a Whole Paycheck shopper.
