The El Cerrito chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has recently announced it is hosting a meet-the-candidates event for California Senate District 9 on April 2.

A lively discussion with the candidates is expected at St. Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 5324 Cypress Ave. in El Cerrito, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend the free event.

During the discussion, candidates will introduce themselves and take questions from a panel and the public.
