A 19-year-old San Pablo man was injured in a shooting at a movie theater parking lot in Marin County on Wednesday, police said.

The shooting occurred about 7 p.m. after an argument and scuffle in the north end of the parking lot at the Cinemark-Century movie theater in the 500 block of Larkspur Landing Circle. Patrons were told to stay inside while police searched the parking lot for suspects.

Friends of the victim, who hasn’t been identified, transported him to Marin General Hospital. While he suffered from a gunshot wound, he was discharged from the hospital within several hours, police said. Police did not elaborate on the extent of his injuries.

Police said it appears the victim knew the suspects and that the shooting was an isolated incident.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact the Central Marin Police Authority at (415) 927-5150.
