The Contra Costa Times has confirmed reports we’ve been hearing about a drive-by shooting Monday afternoon at S. 37th Street and Cutting Boulevard in Richmond.

The shooting occurred about 2:10 p.m., and the driver a car headed eastbound on Cutting Boulevard at the time was injured, police said. He is expected to survive.

“Two men in a gray midsize crossover-style sport utility vehicle pulled up next to him and shot several times into his car, hitting him,” the Times reported.

No further information was released.
